Mrc High-Temperature Plane Bearing Inserts Can Handle the Heat


MRC® High-Temperature Plane Bearing Inserts provide ideal solutions for applications where standard anti-friction bearings may tend to fail prematurely due to extreme heat. These specialized plane bearing inserts can be integrated into any MRC Marathon bearing housing style to withstand consistent temperatures up to 500ºF. Key features include 316 stainless steel inner rings and 304 stainless outer rings to resist corrosion and wear; high-performance polymer sleeve enabling the bearing to operate at higher speeds compared with typical plane bearings; and added benefits from the polymer in reducing friction and eliminating any need for lubrication for virtually maintenance-free operation. Shaft diameters range from 3/4 in. to 1-15/16 in. and inserts can be mounted horizontally or vertically in housings. Their rotation is prevented by an anti-rotation slot in the outer ring mating with the set screw in the housing.
